How DirectAccess works
Your membership ensures that in the event of a medical emergency, your information is available in advance to Jackson International. Should transfer to the hospital be a viable medical option, your transfer will be approved within 60 minutes (subject to bed availability).
Our staff is available to assist you 24/7, year-round, making your transfer possible at any hour, even when your insurance company is closed and unavailable to approve benefits. The DirectAccess program works closely with a network of independent air ambulance companies that, at a moment's notice, can be dispatched to transfer you to Jackson Memorial Hospital. We coordinate your case with the air ambulance company, the referring hospital or physician and the admitting physician at Jackson, securing the appropriate resources for your medical emergency.
